Teleradiology Programmes

Teleradiology programmes and direct radiology technical support and guidance is provided by both the global and regional Teleradiology Centers. 

The IOM Global Teleradiology and Quality Control Center, provides real-time Teleradiology Programmes to both IOM and non-IOM panel clinics worldwide operating seven days a week with uninterrupted teleradiology technical support during the operation hours. The range of teleradiology services include: 

  • Real-time teleradiology primary reading programmes
  • Teleradiology second opinion consultations 
  • Global teleradiology quality control (QC) readings and analysis 

The Global Center also provides global radiology support, system development and expansion, and research projects including: 

  • Development of Radiology technologies, and system expansion 
  • Radiology training
  • Development of radiology guidelines
  • Direct radiology technical support
  • Radiology audit visits and feedback
  • Global radiology research projects,, and policy recommendations
  • Collaboration with key receiving country governments and other global partners in the sector

The IOM Global Teleradiology team is committed to supporting field operation’s needs and optimizing the quality of radiology services for migration health. The Center has continually enhanced the efficiency and quality of its teleradiology programmes and initiatives through continuous advancement in teleradiology technologies, research, quality control, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity development in both Teleradiology Centers.
